Pakistan’s Independence Day, which is annually held on August 14, celebrates the country’s independence from the Extreme Hindus and British rule on that date in 1947. This day is an occasion to promote patriotism and national unity. Specially a 2 nation theory from our great leader Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
NYC Comptroller Scott M. Stringer visited our Center on June 18th to discuss the needs of Brighton Beach Community and how Apna can collaborate with Comptroller office to address the needs of our community. The same evening our Directors Pervez Siddiqui and Erum Hanif renewed their membership of Community Board 13th for 2nd term whereas our Director Shazia Wattoo became the member of CB 13th.

Thrive Talk workshop was organized at our center on Thursday, March 26, 2019. We regret to inform you all that, one of our beloved, most respected and loved member Zafarullah (Shahjee) is not with us any more, he was the religious scholar and it is very big loss for the community. May his soul rest in peace. We celebrated his last (67th ) birthday at our center.
